I can’t count how many people I’ve seen over the years who have so suddenly fallen into the trap of underestimating the power of their words.
We carry the creative power of God in our tongues — and only we can determine how we use that power. Just as God created the Heavens and the Earth by speaking a word, so our words carry that very same creative ability.
The question is this — What are your words creating? Are they speaking life in their future, or are they tearing it down with words of death and negativity?
I hear so many people murmur and complain that their lives aren’t changing, that their prayers aren’t being answered, or that they’re stuck in a whirlwind of trouble — where they are hit with one thing after another. However, spend a few hours with this very person and more often than not, you will hear the words of death that they speak over themselves and their circumstances.
If we put a guard over our mouths, not allowing our tongue to flap words of destruction — this scripture says we will be kept from calamity!
Prophetic Declaration
Holy Spirit, help me to keep watch over the words of my mouth. I cancel every word of death which I have spoken, and I declare that from this day forth, I will speak words of life, in Jesus Name.
