Have you ever wondered why the disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray? Think about this… The disciples had never seen a demon cast out in their lives before. In that day, if you were demon-possessed, you would be put to death. Yet when the disciples saw deliverance take place for the first time, they didn’t stop to ask Jesus to teach them how to do it themselves.
They also saw blind eyes open. They saw miracle money appear in the mouth of a fish. They saw the dead raised. They saw every miracle and wonder that Jesus did, yet they never once asked how to do those things. So why did the disciples only ask Jesus to teach them how to pray?
The disciples saw that the secret to all the miracles that Jesus performed was His prayer life. They witnessed first-hand how Jesus would pray, seek God, and be endued with power. It was His prayer life that was the gateway to the miraculous!
Prophetic Declaration
Today, I cut off every distraction that would hinder me from seeking God. From today, I dedicate myself wholly to prayer. As I begin to seek God like never before, I access the gateway to the miraculous!
