“And among all the parts of the body, the tongue is a flame of fire. It is a whole world of wickedness, corrupting your entire body. It can set your whole life on fire, for it is set on fire by hell itself.” James 3:6 (NLT)
You would be shocked if you knew just how many Christians have a tongue inspired by lucifer.
The Bible says that satan is the accuser of the brethren. So, when we find a person with an accusational tongue — someone who is always pointing the finger — the Bible says that they are siding with lucifer. In fact, I’d take it a step further to say that it’s as if they are carrying out his job for him.
The above scripture says that the tongue is a flame of fire, which has the potential to set your whole life on fire — but not godly fire — the fire of hell itself. That’s quite a statement!
“God sides with the accused. Not the accuser.”
No matter what, God will always take the side of the person being accused before He will incline His ear to the case being stated by someone who has an accusing tongue.
For all those who are close to me in ministry, I always encourage them to always beware that they never fall into this. Never point the finger and accuse your brother. Rather pray for them, lest you fall into that same judgement.
Prophetic Declaration
Accusation shall never pass through my lips. I make a stand today to never again fall into this trap. May my life forever be pleasing unto God, and may goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life, Amen.
