Have you ever seen a husband and wife who don’t put each other first? Perhaps the husband puts sports before his wife, or maybe the wife puts nights out with her friends before the needs of her husband. Regardless of what takes first place, if it isn’t their spouse, you will find something seriously wrong in their marriage.
For the person on the receiving end, they’re not just second priority – they actually feel as if they’re not a priority at all. That’s what we call a dysfunctional marriage.
When something is not in its rightful place, it becomes dysfunctional. It’s the same in our relationship with God. The Bible is clear that God wants first place. He wants first place in our hearts – as we seek first the Kingdom, all these things shall be added to us. He wants first place in our finances – as we give our tithes first, we receive the promise that the rest shall be redeemed.
When you don’t honour these principles, your business, your relationships, your walk with Him and your finances will be dysfunctional. I want to encourage you today to put God first in every area. Seek Him first, and you will see a revival in every area of your life. Put Him first in your finances, and you will see a financial revival!
Prophetic Declaration
As I seek God first, my efforts are being crowned with success. Every dysfunctional area of my life is coming in line with the promises of God. My life is being revived, in the Name of Jesus Christ.
