In this passage, Paul deals with the advanced weapon system of a believer. However, we face the problem that Christians recognize the Armor of God metaphorically but inadvertently lack revelatory substance regarding its value in power and protection.<\/p>\n<p>God\u2019s mission has enemies. A soldier cannot run on to the battlefield deficient in skill and training. The reality of this conflict is surreal to those who do not know Christ or to those who deny the malevolent existence of spiritual terrorists who oppose God and His people.<\/p>\n<p>Any attempt to explain away these forces do not negate their reality.\u00a0 Daily suiting up of the armour, as many Christians believe, will not administer the anticipated anecdote. We need lifestyle to couple with revelation to draw out its true worth.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cUnderstand Your Warfare\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Being a soldier in God\u2019s regiment comes with great responsibility and sacrifice.\u00a0\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Standing<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>as a friend to the world\u00a0<strong><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">seats<\/span>\u00a0<\/strong>you in enmity against God.\u00a0 We are called to thwart evil and showcase un-adulterous faith in our Commander.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Dependence and deliverance go hand in hand.\u00a0 God wants to reveal Himself in your situation!<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u201cAnd he said, \u201cListen, all you of Judah and you inhabitants of Jerusalem, and you, King Jehoshaphat! Thus says the\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Lord<\/strong><strong>\u00a0to you:\u00a0\u2018Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude,\u00a0<\/strong><strong>for the battle is not yours, but God\u2019s<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Tomorrow go down against them. They will surely come up by the Ascent of Ziz, and you will find them at the end of the\u00a0brook before the Wilderness of Jeruel.\u00a0\u201c<\/strong><strong>You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourself, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!\u2019 Do not dear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you<\/strong><strong>.\u201d<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>2 Chronicles 20:15-17 (NKJV)<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>As humans, we have a natural survival instinct; it kicks in the moment we feel threatened. We don\u2019t know our forte to conclude that we cannot stand as victors in our own strength. 2 Chronicles 20 reveals a master battle plan for deliverance.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>The battle is not yours, but God\u2019s:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We need to understand that our victory is only through God because He has already given us victory on every side.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>You will not need to fight in this battle:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The prophet did not say that there would be no battle; he said they would not need to \u201cfight\u201d in this battle. The battle is real, but how we engage will be different from what many are used to. We do not need to fight an enemy who is already defeated.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>You must set yourself:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This means that you must stand firm on the promise of God, living in a state of complete surrender to God, bringing everything under God\u2019s governance, rule, reign and command.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>You must stand still:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Standing still here is waiting upon the Lord. Waiting is essential, but how you wait is what counts. When Jesus told His disciples to go and tarry (\u201cKathidzo\u201d \u2013 to set, appoint, to confer a kingdom on one) in the City of Jerusalem, He was telling them to go and wait in anticipation, not in a relaxed manner. We must wait in a state of prayer and worship.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>You must see the salvation of the Lord:<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>This speaks of spiritual sight and vision. To see something before it has happened. It has the ability to imagine the desired outcome according to God\u2019s Word and then to make that imagination a reality. We must walk in that which is not, as if it were.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Your level of surrender will determine your level of breakthrough!<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cUnderstand Your Adversary\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Satan is also called \u201cthe devil\u201d. \u00a0The word \u201cdevil\u201d is taken from the Greek word \u201cdiabolos\u201d. It is a compound of the words \u201cdia\u201d (through) and \u201cbalos\u201d (to throw). The new word depicts the act of repeatedly throwing a ball or rock against something until it penetrates that barrier and breaks through to the other side. Therefore, his name means that he is one who continually strikes and strikes and strikes again \u2014 beating against the walls of people\u2019s minds over and over again \u2014 until, finally, he breaks through and penetrates their thought process.<\/p>\n<p>The Hebrew word for Satan is \u201cshatana\u201d, which means to \u201chate and accuse\u201d. It also carries with it the idea of slander and false accusation. Because of this archenemy, Paul wrote to the Ephesians church and urged them to\u00a0<span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>\u201cput on the whole amour of God.\u201d<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>However, it is significant to note what Paul told the Ephesians believers to do\u00a0<strong>BEFORE<\/strong>\u00a0he told them to put on the whole armour of God:<\/p>\n<p>&#8211;\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Put away lying\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:25).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Speak the truth with your neighbour\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:25).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Be angry, and sin not; don\u2019t let the sun go down on your wrath\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:26).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Give no place to the devil\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:27).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Let him who stole steal no more\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:28).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:29).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Grieve not the Holy Spirit\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:29).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8211; \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, evil speaking, and malice be put away from<\/p>\n<p>you\u00a0<strong>(Eph. 4:31).<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\"><strong>Understand that a consecrated life is a prerequisite to real spiritual warfare!<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>Paradoxically, we are never truly free until we have fully surrendered ourselves to God. The more we relinquish every fiber of our being to Him, the fewer breaches there are for Satan to exploit.<\/p>\n<p>A lack of commitment and time in the secret place will only veer us on to Satan\u2019s rabbit trails of hellish schemes. Screaming, yelling and shouting at the devil will not accomplish one single thing if we have deliberately, or simply by negligence, allowed \u201cthe loins of our minds\u201d to go unchecked and un-girded.<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, when we choose to live holy and surrendered lives \u2014 carefully guarding our minds and equipping ourselves with the whole armour of God \u2014 we become MIGHTY weapons in the hands of an Almighty God &#8211;\u00a0<strong>Romans 12:1-2 NKJV<\/strong>!<\/p>\n<p>The way you fight to \u201covercome\u201d is by seeking God.\u00a0The bigger God becomes, the smaller your problems will be.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ANOINTED FOR BATTLE Ephesians 6:10-18\u00a0is a signature scripture that forms part of every believer\u2019s vocabulary and spiritual foundation.
