Introduction<\/h2>\n<p>These Terms of Service (&quot;Terms&quot;) govern your use of the Leon du Preez app (&quot;the App&quot;), operated by Encounter Church, a church based in South Africa (&quot;we,&quot; &quot;us,&quot; or &quot;our&quot;).<\/p>\n<p>By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not use the App.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>2. Description of Services<\/h2>\n<p>The Leon du Preez App provides the following services:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sermon streaming<\/strong> \u2014 Watch and listen to sermons by Prophet Leon du Preez via video and audio playback<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bible reader<\/strong> \u2014 Read the Bible (King James Version) with highlighting, bookmarking, and personal notes<\/li>\n<li><strong>Daily devotionals<\/strong> \u2014 Access daily devotional content with streak tracking<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sermon library<\/strong> \u2014 Browse, search, and bookmark sermons by series, category, and speaker<\/li>\n<li><strong>Offline access<\/strong> \u2014 Download sermons for offline playback (subscription required)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Push notifications<\/strong> \u2014 Receive alerts for new sermon releases and devotional reminders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Some features are available only with a paid subscription. See Section 5 (Subscription Terms) for details.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>3. Account Registration<\/h2>\n<h3>3.1 Creating an Account<\/h3>\n<p>To access personalised features, you must register for an account using:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>An email address and password<\/li>\n<li>Google Sign-In<\/li>\n<li>Apple Sign-In<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.<\/p>\n<h3>3.2 Account Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<p>You are responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Providing accurate and current account information<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials<\/li>\n<li>All activity that occurs under your account<\/li>\n<li>Notifying us immediately of any unauthorised access to your account (email: <a href=\"mailto:david@encounterchurch.co.za\">david@encounterchurch.co.za<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>4. Content Ownership<\/h2>\n<h3>4.1 Sermon and Ministry Content<\/h3>\n<p>All sermon recordings, devotional content, and ministry materials made available through the App are the copyright of Prophet Leon du Preez and Encounter Church. You may not:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Download, copy, or distribute sermon content outside the App (except for personal offline use via the App&#39;s download feature)<\/li>\n<li>Use sermon content for commercial purposes<\/li>\n<li>Re-upload or redistribute sermon content on any platform<\/li>\n<li>Edit or create derivative works from sermon content without explicit written permission<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>4.2 User-Generated Content<\/h3>\n<p>You retain ownership of content you create within the App, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bible highlights and colour annotations<\/li>\n<li>Bible bookmarks<\/li>\n<li>Personal notes on Bible verses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>By creating this content, you grant us a limited licence to store and sync it across your devices for the purpose of providing the App&#39;s services. We do not use your personal notes or Bible annotations for any other purpose.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>5. Subscription Terms<\/h2>\n<h3>5.1 Subscription Plans<\/h3>\n<p>The App offers the following plans:<\/p>\n<table>\n<thead>\n<tr>\n<th>Plan<\/th>\n<th>Description<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Free<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Access to a selection of free sermons and the Bible reader<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><strong>Premium<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Full sermon library access, premium series, offline downloads, and additional features<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p>LDP Society partners may be offered Premium at a reduced partner price, or receive Premium as a partnership benefit, based on their partnership tier.<\/p>\n<p>Pricing is displayed in your local currency and may vary by region. Current pricing is shown within the App.<\/p>\n<h3>5.2 Billing and Payment<\/h3>\n<p>Subscriptions are billed through the platform you purchased through:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>iOS users<\/strong> \u2014 Billed through Apple (App Store)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Android users<\/strong> \u2014 Billed through Google (Google Play)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account at the confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.<\/p>\n<h3>5.3 Managing and Cancelling Subscriptions<\/h3>\n<p>To manage or cancel your subscription:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>iOS:<\/strong> Go to Settings &gt; [Your Name] &gt; Subscriptions on your iPhone<\/li>\n<li><strong>Android:<\/strong> Go to Google Play Store &gt; Account &gt; Subscriptions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We do not handle subscription cancellations directly. All subscription management is done through Apple or Google.<\/p>\n<h3>5.4 Refunds<\/h3>\n<p>Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.<\/p>\n<h3>5.5 Content Credits<\/h3>\n<p>The App also offers a content credit system for one-time sermon purchases. Credits are purchased through the App and consumed when you unlock individual sermons. Credits are non-refundable and do not expire, but are tied to your account.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>6. Acceptable Use<\/h2>\n<p>You agree not to use the App to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Violate any applicable South African or international law<\/li>\n<li>Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or other users&#39; accounts<\/li>\n<li>Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App<\/li>\n<li>Use the App for commercial purposes without our written consent<\/li>\n<li>Harass, threaten, or harm other users<\/li>\n<li>Circumvent any subscription or payment requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<h2>7. Availability and Updates<\/h2>\n<p>We aim to keep the App available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The App may be unavailable due to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scheduled maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Technical issues beyond our control<\/li>\n<li>Third-party service outages (Supabase, Vimeo, RevenueCat)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue any feature of the App at any time. We will provide reasonable notice of significant changes.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>8. Termination<\/h2>\n<h3>8.1 Termination by You<\/h3>\n<p>You may stop using the App at any time and delete your account by contacting us at <a href=\"mailto:david@encounterchurch.co.za\">david@encounterchurch.co.za<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>8.2 Termination by Us<\/h3>\n<p>We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Violate these Terms<\/li>\n<li>Engage in fraudulent or illegal activity<\/li>\n<li>Attempt to harm the App, our infrastructure, or other users<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Content you have legitimately purchased or downloaded may no longer be accessible.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>9. Disclaimer of Warranties<\/h2>\n<p>The App is provided &quot;as is&quot; and &quot;as available&quot; without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, we disclaim all warranties including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fitness for a particular purpose<\/li>\n<li>Merchantability<\/li>\n<li>Non-infringement<\/li>\n<li>Uninterrupted or error-free operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sermon content represents the personal beliefs and ministry of Prophet Leon du Preez and should not be construed as legal, financial, or medical advice.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>10. Limitation of Liability<\/h2>\n<p>To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Encounter Church and its affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loss of data<\/li>\n<li>Interruption of service<\/li>\n<li>Any errors or omissions in content<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or subscription in the 12 months prior to the claim.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution<\/h2>\n<p>These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Africa.<\/p>\n<p>If you have a complaint or concern about the App, please contact us first at <a href=\"mailto:david@encounterchurch.co.za\">david@encounterchurch.co.za<\/a>. We will make every reasonable effort to resolve disputes amicably.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>12. Changes to These Terms<\/h2>\n<p>We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you via an in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<h2>13.
