How to Buy The Anointing on Amazon.com

Having trouble purchasing the Kindle edition? Wherever you are in the world, follow these steps carefully. Even if you have never bought a Kindle book before, this guide walks you through the entire process from start to finish.

⚠️ Read this first — the single most important tip Buy the book using an internet browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox) — not the Amazon Shopping app. The Amazon app on phones and tablets often hides or blocks Kindle purchases, gifting, and reviews. If you try to buy through the app and it "does nothing," this is usually why. Open a browser and go to Amazon.com instead.

Before You Start

  • An Amazon account (free to create)
  • A valid credit or debit card enabled for online international purchases
  • Your billing address (in your own country)
  • An internet connection and a web browser

You do not need to own a physical Kindle device. You can read Kindle books using the free Kindle app on a phone, tablet, or computer, or in a web browser. Wherever you live, you use Amazon.com for Kindle books — your location does not, by itself, stop you from buying from Amazon.com's Kindle store. The price shown may be adjusted for your country/region.

Part 1 — Buy The Book
1

Open the Book on Amazon.com in a Browser

Open your internet browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, or Firefox) and go to:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HGH9ZJ6M

Make sure the web address starts with www.amazon.com (the .com site — not .co.uk, .co.za, .in, .com.au, or any other). If you are on a phone or tablet and it tries to open the Amazon app, close the app and paste the link back into your browser instead.

2

Sign In to Your Amazon Account

Sign in with the email/mobile number and password linked to your account.

🖥️ On a computer

  1. Look at the top-right of the page.
  2. Hover over "Hello, sign in — Account & Lists."
  3. Click the yellow Sign in button.

📱 On a phone/tablet browser

  1. Tap the menu icon (☰ lines) or the little person icon, usually top-left or top-right.
  2. Tap Sign in.

No account yet? Choose Create your Amazon account and follow the prompts. When done, return to The Anointing page.

3

Add Your Credit or Debit Card

If you've never bought digital content on this account, add a payment method first. (See the box below on how to find "Your Account" on your device.)

  1. Open Your Account
  2. Select Your Payments (sometimes shown as Payment options)
  3. Select Add a payment method
  4. Choose Add a credit or debit card
  5. Enter your cardholder name, card number, expiry date, and security code (CVV) if requested
  6. Add or select your billing address
  7. Save the card

Your billing information must be accurate and should match your card and your country of residence.

⚠️ Do not stop here. Seeing your card listed under Your Payments does not necessarily mean Amazon will use it for your purchase. Complete Step 4.
Most people miss this 4

Set Your Card as Your Default Purchase Preference

  1. Go to Your Account → Your Payments
  2. Select the Settings tab
  3. Find Your default purchase preference
  4. Select Change Preference, then next to Payment method select Change
  5. Choose your newly added card
  6. Confirm the correct billing address is attached
  7. Select Continue to save
Why this matters Amazon's Buy now with 1-Click uses whatever is set as your default purchase preference — so for Kindle purchases, this step is essential. (Updating it won't change any orders already in process.)
5

Make Sure Your Card Allows International Online Purchases

This matters most for debit cards and cards issued outside the United States. Open your banking app and check your card's settings. Depending on your bank, look for options like:

  • Online / e-commerce / internet purchases
  • International transactions
  • International online purchases

Make sure the relevant online/international functionality is switched on. The wording varies from bank to bank.

If you can't find it, phone your bank and ask:

Ask your bank: "Is my card enabled for international online / card-not-present purchases on Amazon.com?"

Banks often block unexpected or first-time international transactions for security — even when there's more than enough money available.

6

Return to The Anointing

Once your card is added and set as your default purchase preference, go back to:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HGH9ZJ6M

Make sure you're viewing the Kindle Edition (look for the word "Kindle" near the price). The price shown may be adjusted for your country/region.

7

Select "Buy Now with 1-Click"

Click the Buy now with 1-Click button (usually on the right, under the price). This charges the default payment method on your account.

If you see "Kindle book prices differ by country/region" This does not necessarily mean the purchase failed. Amazon may show the correct price for your region and ask you to select Buy now with 1-Click again to confirm. Continue with the purchase.
8

Confirm the Purchase Actually Completed

Don't just assume it worked. Amazon should show an order confirmation. You can verify it yourself:

  1. Go to Your Account → Your Orders
  2. Select Digital Orders (or the Digital Orders tab)
  3. Look for The Anointing: How to Receive It, Walk in It, and Keep It

If it appears as a completed digital order, your purchase went through. ✅ (Now jump to Part 4 — Read the book.)

How to Find "Your Account"

Several steps above start with "Open Your Account." Here's exactly where that link lives on each device. You must be signed in first.

🖥️ On a computer

  1. Look at the top-right corner of Amazon.com.
  2. Move your mouse over "Hello, [your name] — Account & Lists."
  3. A menu drops down. Under Your Account, click the link you need — e.g. Your Payments, Your Orders, or Your Account.

📱 On a phone/tablet browser

  1. Tap the menu icon (☰ three lines), usually top-left.
  2. Scroll to and tap Your Account.
  3. From there choose Your Payments, Your Orders, etc.
  4. Tip: if the page looks cramped, scroll to the very bottom and tap "Desktop" or "Full site" to see all options clearly.

Shortcut: you can also type amazon.com/account straight into your browser's address bar once signed in.

Part 2 — Gift The Book to Someone Else

🎁 How to Send The Anointing as a Gift

You can buy the Kindle edition for someone else — a friend, family member, or your whole small group. They receive it by email and read it on any device with the free Kindle app. They do not need a Kindle device, but they will need a free Amazon account to claim it.

Do this in a browser on a computer if you can — the gifting button is easiest to find there and is often missing in the Amazon app.

  1. Sign in and open the book: amazon.com/dp/B0HGH9ZJ6M
  2. Make sure you're on the Kindle Edition.
  3. On the right, under the purchase options, click "Give as a Gift" (on some pages it reads "Buy for Others").
  4. Enter the recipient's email address — double-check it's spelled correctly, as this is where the gift is sent.
  5. Optionally add a personal message and choose a delivery date (send now, or schedule it for a birthday/occasion).
  6. Confirm your payment method and click Place your order.
Prefer to hand it over in person? Enter your own email as the recipient. Amazon sends the gift link to you, and you can forward or print it and give it to the person yourself.

Notes: The recipient can accept the gift, or swap it for store credit if they already own the book. If you don't see a gifting button, the edition may not be giftable in your region — try from a desktop browser on Amazon.com. You can re-send a gift email from Your Account → Your Orders → Digital Orders → Resend gift.

Part 3 — Leave a Review & Star Rating
⚠️ Please read this before trying to review — it explains the #1 confusion To leave any review or star rating on Amazon.com, your account must have spent at least US $50 on Amazon.com in the last 12 months, paid with a credit or debit card. This is Amazon's own rule, and it applies to everyone — it is not specific to this book. If you don't meet it, Amazon shows a red message saying you're not eligible to write a review. That's not an error and not something we can override.

Am I eligible to leave a review?

You can leave a review/rating only if all of these are true:

  • You've spent US $50 or more on Amazon.com (the .com site) in the past 12 months.
  • That spend was made with a credit or debit card — gift-card balance and promotional credit do not count.
  • Your account is in good standing and you're not connected to the author/publisher (family, etc.).
Important clarifications people ask us about: • The $50 must be spent on Amazon.com. Purchases on Amazon.co.uk, Amazon.co.za, or any other country's Amazon site do NOT count toward it — those are separate marketplaces. This is confirmed Amazon policy. • Buying this one book usually won't get you to $50 on its own, so a brand-new Amazon.com account often can't review yet. • Some readers only see the "Write a review" option appear after they've started or finished reading the book — and even then, they still must meet the $50 rule to actually submit it.

⭐ How to leave the review (once you're eligible)

Easiest way — from your orders:

  1. Sign in to Amazon.com in a browser.
  2. Go to Your Account → Your Orders → Digital Orders.
  3. Find The Anointing and click Write a product review.
  4. Choose a star rating (1–5). You can stop there with just a rating, or add a title and written review.
  5. Click Submit.

Or straight from the book page:

  1. Open the book page while signed in.
  2. Scroll down to "Reviews" and click "Write a customer review."
  3. Set your stars, write your thoughts, and Submit.
Seeing a red "not eligible" box? That's the $50 rule above. The option clears on its own once your Amazon.com spend over the last 12 months reaches $50 (card purchases, not gift-card balance). There is no way to bypass it — it's an Amazon account rule, not a setting on this book.
Part 4 — Read the Book After Buying

📖 How to Open and Read The Anointing

You can read on almost anything. Pick whichever you have:

📱 Phone or tablet

  1. Install the free Kindle app (Apple App Store or Google Play).
  2. Open it and sign in with the same Amazon account you bought with.
  3. Go to Library → tap the book to download and read.

🖥️ Computer or browser

  1. Go to read.amazon.com (Kindle for Web) and sign in — no install needed.
  2. Or install Kindle for PC/Mac.
  3. Open your Library and click the book.

Own a Kindle e-reader? Make sure it's signed into the same account, then tap the book, or Sync your library.

Bought it but can't find it? In the Kindle app, open Library, select All (not just "Downloaded"), clear any filters, and search The Anointing. Then tap More → Sync. You can also go to Amazon.com → Manage Your Content and Devices, find it under Books, and use Deliver to send it to your device/app.
Troubleshooting
I clicked "Buy now with 1-Click" and nothing seems to happen

First: are you in the Amazon app? Switch to a browser on Amazon.com. Then work through this in order:

  1. Confirm you're signed into the correct Amazon.com account
  2. Go to Your Payments and confirm your card is saved
  3. Go to Your Payments → Settings → Your default purchase preference and confirm the correct card is selected
  4. Check the billing address matches your card and country
  5. Check your banking app — online/international transactions must be enabled
  6. Return to the book and try Buy now with 1-Click again
  7. Check Your Orders → Digital Orders before repeating the attempt
Amazon says "You have not been charged"

Don't assume you bought the book. First check Your Orders → Digital Orders. If The Anointing isn't there, work through:

  1. Check your card number, expiry and billing details are correct
  2. Confirm the card is selected under Settings → Your default purchase preference
  3. Check you have enough funds for the amount plus any currency-conversion/card charges
  4. Confirm your bank allows online/e-commerce transactions on the card
  5. Confirm your bank permits the international Amazon.com transaction
  6. Check your phone for a bank approval request (OTP, 3-D Secure, or in-app authorisation)
  7. If it still fails, contact your bank
I only have a debit card — can I still buy the book?

Yes, potentially. You don't necessarily need a credit card — Amazon supports eligible credit and debit cards. But the card must be eligible for the transaction and your bank must authorise it.

First, in your banking app, make sure the card is enabled for online/e-commerce purchases and, where applicable, international online purchases. Then try again.

If it still fails, phone your bank and say:

"I'm trying to make an international online / card-not-present purchase on Amazon.com. Please check whether my debit card is enabled for this and whether the transaction is being declined or blocked."

If the bank confirms the card can't be used, try another eligible debit or credit card.

My card works everywhere else — why is Amazon declining it?

A card working elsewhere doesn't guarantee every transaction is authorised. Banks flag unexpected activity — especially international or card-not-present purchases.

Ask your bank whether it's blocking: international online transactions, card-not-present transactions, transactions from Amazon.com, or the specific attempted transaction.

The payment failed after I tried to buy it

Go to Your Orders → Digital Orders and find the order. If it shows as incomplete, you may see an option such as Retry Payment Method or Change Payment Method. Follow Amazon's instructions, adding a different eligible card if needed.

The Amazon app won't let me buy the Kindle book

This is normal and expected. Amazon frequently disables Kindle book buying inside the Amazon Shopping app on phones and tablets. Don't fight it — open a web browser (Chrome, Safari, Edge, Firefox), go to Amazon.com, sign in, open the book, and use Buy now with 1-Click there. Then read it in the free Kindle app.

Why can't I leave a review? I get a red "not eligible" message

Amazon requires your account to have spent at least US $50 on Amazon.com in the last 12 months, using a credit or debit card, before you can post any review or star rating. Gift-card balance and promo credit don't count, and spending on other Amazon sites (.co.uk, .co.za, etc.) doesn't count toward the Amazon.com total. It's an account-wide Amazon rule — not something the author or this book controls. Some readers also only see the review option after they begin reading, but they still must meet the $50 rule to submit. Once your qualifying Amazon.com spend reaches $50, the option becomes available.

I paid, but I can't find the book to read it

First confirm the order completed under Your Orders → Digital Orders. Then open your Kindle app or device:

  1. Open Kindle and go to your Library
  2. Select All (not just downloaded books) and clear any filters
  3. Search for The Anointing
  4. If needed, tap More → Sync

You can also go to Manage Your Content and Devices, find the book under Books, and use Deliver to send it to your Kindle device/app.

How do I gift it to more than one person at once?

Use "Buy for Others" on the Kindle book page (desktop browser). You can select a quantity and either send each recipient a personalised gift email, or send the same email to everyone at once. Each recipient needs their own free Amazon account to claim their copy.

🆘 Still can't purchase? Final checklist

  • I'm using a browser (not the Amazon app) on Amazon.com
  • I'm signed into my Amazon.com account
  • My account has correct country/residence information
  • My credit/debit card is added under Your Payments
  • My billing address is correct
  • The card is selected under Settings → Your default purchase preference
  • My card has sufficient funds / available credit
  • Online/e-commerce purchases are enabled
  • International online purchases are permitted by my bank
  • I checked for an OTP or banking-app approval request
  • I selected Buy now with 1-Click
  • I checked Your Orders → Digital Orders to confirm it completed
  • If declined, I contacted my bank

If everything above is correct and it still fails, contact Amazon Customer Service for account/payment help. Amazon can fix the Amazon-side setup or an incomplete order — but your bank is the right party to resolve a card decline.

🔥 Ready to Get Your Copy?

Once your payment method is set up correctly, complete your Kindle purchase in a browser on Amazon.com:

Get The Anointing on Amazon.com → https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0HGH9ZJ6M
Remember: If Buy now with 1-Click appears to do nothing, the three things to check first are (1) that you're in a browser, not the Amazon app, (2) your default purchase preference on Amazon, and (3) your online/international purchase permissions with your bank.
