“Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart,” Luke 18:1 (NKJV)
When Jesus shared with the disciples the parable of the persistent widow, He started off by urging them that men ought to always pray, and to not lose heart. Other translations say that men should not faint, not give up, but to pray at all times.
