Day 25 - Are You Foolish Or Wise?
“A fool uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards”
Proverbs 29:11 (KJV)
There is a principle which I’ve applied throughout my life - and even in ministry - that I keep things concealed until the right time.
The rule that I’ve applied is when God gives me an idea, a strategy or reveals the next step for my family or my ministry, I keep it in my spirit.
I nurture that seed, I begin to
get my spirit into alignment with it, and then I begin to speak it out in private - declaring it into
the atmosphere to be so.
When God shares secrets with you of where He is taking you, keep it away from disloyal people. You must have a system that protects the privacy and secrecy of vital issues. Without these systems of privacy and secrecy in place, your plans, purposes, and pursuits can easily fail. This is a principle of the wise.
Jesus intentionally kept secrets from the Pharisees and Sadducees. He intentionally spoke in parables. He wanted to keep hidden the pearls of revelation and where God was taking Him.
As Christians, we teach a lot about confession, openness, and honesty. However, when you enter the realms of war, it is necessary to have secrets and guard them well - especially in terms of that which God is birthing in your life and ministry.
“God is birthing something on the inside of me! The enemy will not abort it, those around me with ill-motives cannot touch it. My wisdom guards it, and God shall fulfill it. In Jesus Name!”
